While we’re on the subject, has anyone here actually managed to read “Atlas Shrugged” cover-to-cover?

I've read it several times. Thought it was pretty good stuff, until I realized that Rand's philosophy is founded on assertions that don't withstand the logical scrutiny she herself demanded.

It became clear to me, for example, that Rand's philosophy cannot withstand the moral implications of something so natural as being a parent.

So much for that, then.

From what I manage to gather, “Objectivism” makes a certain amount of horse sense but she takes the concept to extremes.

“Enlightened Self-Interest” is more my style.
