YIKES!!! You can't be serious ... that 100% SpyWare and Take-Over-Your-Computer software is the bane of the computer world. It's a wonder they're still in business and pushing that POS still.
Every link to Real and/or RealNetworks has been BLOCKED/BANNED on every computer that I have .. I make a point of it whenever setting up a new machine.
There are other, safer ways of getting an MP4 to play, mainly by downloading and installing codecs (often free) for Windows Player ... as several have mentioned here already.
Avoid 'Real' like the miserable plague that it is!
/OK .. rant off :)
What you said. I hate REAL. I don't like Quicktime, either. Too hard to control. My PC is mine. I'll decide when something loads into memory, either at startup or whenever. I am kinda' hooked on WMP internet radio, though . . . .
BTW, Piriform's Ccleaner is a great tool for removing things from MSCONFIG, not just disabling. Why can't MS allow you to remove unwanted items from the startup? And it loads it's uninstall list about 10 times faster than MS Control Panel. Good for clearing out unwanted cookies and removing leftover registry items when installing a new video driver. And it's free.
