Right now Laura Ingraham is talking about Republicans need to step forward now, now is the time, if they are going to run, and so I am wondering myself who are the Republican candidates (for President) in 2012?
It doesnt matter if they say they are running or not, can someone give me the complete list? I want to start making a decision early this time so I can jump in with good spirit and enthusiasm, I think this battle needs to start early and start now because its going to be a long campaign.
So who has the long list? I may have forgotten someone, overlooked, maybe I am off the mark.
I tried to put together a gut list and this is the only thing I came up with so far:
Republicans definitely on my list: Romney Palin Bachmann Paul Trump
Republicans not on my list: (Jeb) Bush
Republicans who are in good keeping but are not on my list because they cannot win: Gingrich
Well the conventional wisdom is that the Tea Party helped in House races but hurt in Senate (statewide) races. So, considering that the primaries are a series of statewide races ‘shunning the Tea Party’ might be the right strategy.
Of course the Tea Party was very good at nominating statewide candidates (better than at electing them) so maybe you are right.
Most of the voters are TEA party supporters or at least supporting TEA Party ideas that are going to be voting in most primaries..... This isn’t 2008, this is 2010-2012 where the grassroots movement is huge, real and not going away, Mitt is also responsible for RomneyCare....Odds are that Sarah has a better chance than Mitt at winning the nomination, of course he can win but it will take a lot to happen for him to do so.
I don’t mean to offend you personally, but a lot of people after two years don’t know anything much about Sarah Palin, I’ve read accounts from Dems in Alaska describe how she help destroyed a string of politicians more powerful than her and that she has natural political skills....
It's still an open question as to whether she will run or not. If she decides not to many Freeper's heads will explode.
Who's your second pick, if Palin doesn't run?
Only half the states have completely closed primaries.
Mitt can win with Independent and Democrat votes.
We need to schedule a Freep at a Democrat fundraiser in San Francisco on the day she makes her official announcement one way or the other.
That way if she says 'No' there will be an upside.
Romney continues to have his agents attack the GOP.
Shame on Romney and his malignant RomneyBOTs.
And Bachmann and Trump can?
