That was beautiful, Gail. We used to hear all those good old hymns when I was younger but churches today sing a different kind of music.
We’re overcast here, too, but the temp is 41 at the moment. It was chillier yesterday. Won’t be long until we are complaining about how HOT IT IS!
I know, mostly all my church plays is un-singable songs, flat line style. No fast and slow mix. Makes for a BORING service. Preacher is boring too.
What’s so bad is they do have a good band, but they are flat line singers, but only the organist plays on Sunday.
You can’t get the Holy Spirit moving with that kind of BORING preaching and singing.
Easter Cantata is going to be a so BORING 45 mins, not one exciting song in the program.
Doesn’t do any good to tell them they need to up tempo some of these older songs and get the band to play with the organist.
Makes me want to stay home, hubby sings in the choir. I snooze in the pew. Then play my own CD’s for the spiritual up lifting I crave.
