"The main thing I'm proud of, this is for my family and for the many people who want to see me go in there before I die," he said. "It's a great honor." Friends seemed more indignant about Husky's long wait than he did. Tracy Pitcox, president of Heart of Texas Records, remembers telling Husky he deserved to be in the hall of fame a few years before his induction.
"He said, 'It would be nice, but it isn't going to impress Jesus,'" Pitcox remembered Thursday. "I just thought, 'Wow, what a nice thing to say.'"
Another great American called home!
R.I.P. Mr. Husky!!

Are you going through a dark experience, a time when things seemed unjust?
Remember the promise, “It is the Lord your God who goes with you; God will not fail you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:8
Let go of all resentment or fear. Let go and let God take over.
God is your strength, your peace, your unfailing help in every need.
Some of the experiences and circumstances of your life change every day;
this can be highly stressful, if you allow it to be. These changes are
inevitable. You may initiate them or they may be initiated by others.
You may desire them or you may wish that they had never occurred.
Regardless of the changes you experience, you can, at any time, return and
rest in God, then you will meet each one with confidence and courage.
In 2 Corinthians 4:18, the Bible states, “We look not to the things that
are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are seen
are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.”
I pray that you are blessed by God and fortified by God’s strength and power. I pray that you know God and God’s ever present help, constantly and consistently. I pray that you do not rely upon your own power alone. This week, you return and you rest often in the living presence of God ever with you. May you be blessed in profound ways.
In Jesus Christ’s name
Amen
