I use yippy.com and recommend it.
What is Yahoo AC? It’s not clear from the story exactly what Associated Content is, how it works and why, exactly, Google doesn’t like it.
AC is Associated Content that Yahoo just purchased. I found it when I was searching for canning help. I started reading the cooking and preservation articles and then noticed a political category. There are some interesting articles on travel and such. Are some of the article less than well written? Yes. But there are some very helpful articles, such as the canning info ones. That’s how I started reading Sherry’s stuff. LOL..I too am a Snidely Whiplash fan. He’s a hoot and I’m sure liberals don’t want him anywhere near the first page or two of Google.
I think there’s pretty much every walk of life person writing for AC. I like the articles that bring some real experience into the mix. I also like the passion with which some writers do their politics..like Snidely. Is he a pro? No. But he says things that I wish I could say.
They get paid a dollar or so for every 1500 hits on their article. I wouldn’t think that it is a very high paying job. But I do believe that the majority people are doing it with the right heart. And there is always the option of not clicking on an Associated Content article when it pops up in a search.
In the scheme of things, these “content farms” don’t seem to be that big a share of the Internet. I almost wonder if this was a test trial. I do not trust Google. They make too many “oops” and then say there was nothing to worry about.
I probably didn’t explain this too well. But may be you get the idea.
