They hypocrisy of him calling out someone for a name change is especially amusing from “Carlos Esevez” / “Charlie Sheen”.
I listened to the audio on the Today Show this morning, and to me it clearly sounded like "Haim", not Hymie.
Listen, I think Sheen's rant was contemptible on a variety of levels, and I think it's pretty reflective of a guy afflicted with Manic depression (probably drug-induced, which is VERY common in long-term addicts) and in a manic state. But, I don't think there was anything antisemitic in his rant - douchey yes, but antisemitic no.
Lorre has, from what I understand, penned vanity tiles that run in the show's credits that refer to Charlie as "Carlos Esteves". What's good for the goose, is good for the gander.
