Controversial TV star Charlie Sheen has been on the radio a lot lately, but his last outburst on a radio talk show went too far for CBS and Warner Brothers, which made the extraordinary move to halt production of its top-rated show for the rest of the season. On the Alex Jones show, Sheen ripped into "Two and a Half Men" show creator Chuck Lorre, calling him at one point a "turd" and an "un-evolved mind." He also had strong words for Alcoholics Anonymous, party girls, and even Thomas Jefferson.
Sheen says, "Are they happy with the $5 billion they already made off me or do they think they can turn it into $10 [billion] in a couple more seasons?" Charlie continued. "I'm just saying, you know [the show] is a runaway freakin' juggernaut. Do what you've gotta do -- I'll go make movies with superstars and not work with idiots." In halting production of "Two and a Half Men," CBS said "Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of Two and a Half Men for the remainder of the season."
Ironically, one of Sheen's comments also dared CBS & Warner brothers to pull the plug on the show, saying, "I was told if I went on the attack, they would cancel the show and all that, and so I'm just sort of seeing if they're telling the truth or not." Access Hollywood has the audio of Sheen's comments. Sheen attempted rehab and made news for allegedly involving himself with hookers and drugs. He also angered his co-stars and sitcom show crew when show tapings were first temporarily halted, affecting the schedules and lives of co-workers. Sheen earned an estimated $1.2 million per episode of "Men."
Appropriate--as Charlie is DEFINITELY "looney tunes"!
Interesting is that in his rant against Chuck Lorre, he kept calling him Chaim Levine. Lorre’s real name is Charles Levine, so what point was Sheen trying to make by using the Jewish version of Lorre’s real name? Is he going off the deep end like Mel?
My favorite sitcom. Very well-written, amazingly delivered by Jim Parsons particularly. I just wish they’d get off the “sex as the topic of every episode” kick - they could do extremely well on almost any topic.
I know, I know...
Colonel, USAFR
“I think Sheen and Mel Gibson need to get a place together and let the cameras follow them around for what would surely be a top-rated reality show.”
They can call it “Losers on Booze”
He can’t make a movie....the producers could never obtain the necessary completion insurance with Sheen as the star
Although my wife loves this show, I always thought it was a one-joke idea with unappealing characters. The only one I ever liked on the show was the big lady who played the cook. Good bye to bad rubbish, if ya ask me...
What an idiot!....Can’t keep your mouth shut Charlie?....Well, now it’s gonna cost ya and all the others who depended on the show for their living....great job, Numbnuts!
“Two and a Half Men” a juggernaut?....its the stupidest of the stupidest shows.....
Sheen was in both of them...
Besides being a coke addict which probably included crack too(juding by some of his staments) he was also raised in Hollywoord so he thinks he is more special than anyoe else and entitled to everything. He’s been a star since his late teens early 20’s bessides being a son of a Hollywood legend.I doubt with his history that much of anything would get through to him and his ego.
Not to mention that none of the main characters are likable or admirable (apart from the sassy one-liners they can drum up on a second’s notice!)
Whoops. Just saw that it’s the same producer for BBT as for Sheen’s show. The guy also produced another fine sitcom,
Dharma and Greg. Yeah, reading Sheen’s rant, he IS an anti-Semite on top of everything else. His vision of a renewed movie career, working for geniuses like himself, is very likely going to hit the rocks soon.
‘they could call it “Losers on Booze”
Or, conversely, they could call it “Boozers on the Loose”.
His actual legal name is Charles Levine, not Chaim Levine.
I notice that Charlie Sheen didn't mention that his own legal name is Carlos Estevez.

That boy crazy.
