*vanity* Does the WI Senate really need a quorum?

OK, I'm no political genius but can't the Wisconsin House/Senate just remove the collective bargaining language from the now budget bill? Then, tell the rat coward dems it's been removed and for them to get back to work to vote on the budget bill or the layoff notices are coming.

Then, attach the CB language to another bill as an amendment which wouldn't require a quorum.

Can that be done? Yes? No?

I don’t understand why the President of the Senate hasn’t found them in contempt and issued fines on them. Say $20,000 for each day they fail to appear. Granted that the unions or DNC would find some way to pay the fines for them, but it is still money the state can use.

Until never. The Governor cannot appoint replacement Senators.

Are you aware of any other procedure for senators that are not present? Surely there is a rule for someone who disappears. There has to be a procedure for that.

I watched that moron whine about how they were all about to die from sleep deprivation. My jaw almost hit the floor.

My jaw did eventually impact the floor when the vote was actually taken. The whole vote lasted less than 5 seconds. It was the single funniest political moment I’ve ever witnessed.

All the Dems could do was scream and cry “shame” as the GOP members left the chamber.

Oh my, it was priceless. :-D

On right to work in the private sector. In Indiana Daniels eliminated public sector collective bargaining by executive order when he was inaugurated.
