Actually, Reagan got involved in government and politics when he was a spokesperson for GE. He later became involved in Goldwater's campaign and politics since 1962. He worked his way up and refrained from becoming a political lightening rod like Palin is.

Palin is what she is by her own doing. She had too little experience and said too much, too soon, especially the controversy that ignited all the ridicule in 2008, her ill fated interview, with Couric. She simply, was poorly prepared or educated in politics. And the results are what we see today. Her popularity is going steadily down. And it is not even close to the level it must be at this stage of the game.

You don't support her and she can't win. So why do you care?

Hmm, Reagan had 8 years as an elected or appointed public official. Sarah Palin had 4 years on the city council, 6 years as mayor, chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission for 2 years (+) then ran for and won the office of Governor and stayed there for 3 years. That's nearly DOUBLE Ronaldus Magnus' tenure in public office.

I can see that your part of the debate is going downhill, so I'll let you know she RESIGNED as Governor.

If you'd followed what was going on you'd probably encouraged her to do so. She was being attacked by George Sorros' anti-Palin brigade with a series of irrational and unsubstantiated "ethics charges". Alaskan law apparently allowed for that sort of thing ~ just anybody could file a complaint that had to be litigated.

My criticism of her critics regarding her resignation is that THEY don't know enough about the events leading up to that to have an opinion, and the fact they are voicing one proves they are TOO IGNANT to be listened to.
