Tammy Bruce, columnist, radio host & conservative gay activist, announced on her website today that she will resign her position as advisory board member to GoProud.
I want to let you know that after being a supporter and serving as Chair of the Advisory Board since May of 2010, I gave Chris Barron and Jimmy LaSalvia my resignation Saturday night. If you search GOProud here at the blog you’ll see the affection with which I’ve held both Chris and Jimmy, and I wish them well.
I spoke with Tammy at the CPAC convention and when asked for comment on the reason for her departure she had no comment except to reiterate her position from the website that she,”looks forward to working with conservatives across the spectrum on issues that matter to all of us.”

And the last two quotes you have referenced just accidentally happened to be from Think Progress.. yea right. If that is true, it shows you searching the internet for support for your preconceived crap and ending up at a rabid liberal's site. And then, you say.. if the lie fits, then you are good with it.

I think this is the real cool thing about GOProud's attendance at CPAC this year. It measures the high water mark for this flood of silliness. Conservatives faced with who these folks really are, had to recoil. We are not into identity politics and frankly this whole movement is more about identity than anything else. Unfortunately, as this is an identity that is problematic to say the least, humanity demands tolerance, but acceptance can never be the goal. As these folks are pushing for outward signs of acceptance and because these signs of acceptance are destructive to society, and perhaps intentionally so, the GOProud agenda is the same as the overall "Gay" agenda and thus must be opposed in the realm of ideas.
Wisely, this is what Sarah Palin advocated, allowing these folks to be heard, so that we might know who they are. But, making a place for them at the table is not the same as honoring these folks with implied leadership in the conservative movement. Many of these folks are true conservatives in other aspects, but in this, we must oppose them honestly, clearly and without malice.
I like Tammy Bruce. She sometimes hosts the Laura Ingraham SHow and she is a real fighter.
