Tiger will never accomplish what Jack did. He picks and chooses his tournaments and has focused on the “majors) (US Open, Masters, PGA and British Open), which Jack did not focus on just to beta someone’s record. In Jack’s day pro golfers had to play all the time in order to eat. Jack’s wins in all tournaments will never be surpassed by Tiger. Also, Jack coming in 2nd in so-called “majors” will not be bested by the spoiled one.
Tiger has 4 majors per year and he is going to have a tough time. His knee has been operated on 3 times? British Open? No way. He missed the cut in 2009. Masters? If Phil is playing well then forget it. Phil was awesome last year. PGA and US Open maybe but the young guns at the PGA were pretty awesome last year. Bombers DJ and Bubba, technician Kaymer and 21 year old Rory McIlroy.
The Tiger fanboys on GolfWrx have said that Tiger should aswallow his pride and go back to Butch Harmon who is supposedly the best golf coach in the world. Tiger quit Butch years ago.
Butch has Mickelson and about 5 other very good golfers as clients - all nice guys too. So Butch is gonna take back cheap Tiger when Mickelson probably pays him $1 million a year? Butch gets on well with cheerful Phil too. Ain’t gonna happen. Butch does not even like Tiger.
In Jack's day there were only a handfull of golfers that could compete against him. Today any member of the PGA has the ability to pull a win at any given tournament. IOW, the competition in the PGA today is much, much greater than in Jack's........
Nicklaus won his last PGA tounament at the age of 46 for a total of 73. Woods already has 71 wins while only 35 years old. Allowing Woods the same age span, Woods has 11 more years in which to win four more majors.
So the question isn't will he get four more wins but rather when..........I would be extremely surprised if he didn't have them by the time he is 40.
