I DO feel sorry for both of the young people, tho. No fan of any Clinton, but I really would have hoped that they’d have had a solid, loving relationship and not faced this kind of crisis so early in their marriage. It’s sad.

But, if it’s not meant to be, better it break up early than after years when they might have children and both feel like prisoners of a marriage that isn’t working and can’t work.

One of mine had his marriage fall apart within months of the long-planned wedding, and it was totally devastating. The only saving grace was that they didn’t have children, much less years invested in the ‘marriage.’

Yours is one of the few sensible and decent comments on this entire thread. I'm sorry you had to go through that with your son. Hope he's doing well.

As I understand it, to get an annulment, you need to either have not consummated the relationship or one has to have lied to the other about his/her identity.

Thanks. My son has survived, shown how much character he really has. And, by the grace of God, found a lovely young woman he’s now dating .. we’ll see where, if anywhere, that goes. We can only hope for happiness for our kids, or anyone else’s kids, even our political opposites.
