We live in snowbird country and have gotten to know some of the wait staff at local places....they're not overly fond of Canadian parties; tipping isn't a part of their world.

Second place goes to the hispanics - percentage tipping is alien...a buck seems to do the trick for them.

In Mexico, 10% is considered a hefty tip. The local Chilis used to do a “south of the border sunday” which attracted a lot of Mexicans (actual Mexicans not hispanics) and the waiters I knew would bribe, threaten, and cajole the hostesses into putting them in someone else’s section.
