I have been involved with a group called "The Crescent Project". It is a Christian organization that trains people to reach out to Muslims. There are many Muslims becoming Christians in the middle east and the following is an e mail from the founder, Fouad Masri. To find out more about Crescent Project, click on the link.....thank you
The Trouble With Egypt
"When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. "Get up," he said, "take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt..." So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt... And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: "Out of Egypt I called my son." Matthew 2:13-15 NIV
Dear Partner in Prayer,
I just returned from Spain where we had a one-week training on how to witness to Muslims. People came from as far north as Sweden and from as far east as Greece. We saw people get excited and equipped, and we are now hearing results of Muslims hearing the Gospel due to that training.
All the time I was in Spain, Egypt was in the news. There are many committed believers in the country of Egypt. We often think of Egypt and the days of the Pharaohs, but the country has had serious struggles these days as a republic because of a clash between modern Islam and conservative Islam.
In the midst of this, many Egyptians desire reform. What you are seeing today is the frustration of the population over economics, education, freedom of expression and freedom of religion.
Most regimes today in the Muslim world are essentially autocratic dictatorships, with a strong military, little freedom of religion and very limited freedom of expression. The present situation is an outcry by people who are fed up with oppressive regimes.
We saw this in Lebanon in 2005 when the Syrian army was forced out of Lebanon after being there for more than 30 years. The dictator of Tunisia has been overthrown. Now we are seeing riots in Algeria, Yemen, Jordan and Iraq. There is a desire for creating a free society.
This is a very good thing because it is pushing the Muslim world to consider freedom of religion, freedom of expression, diversity and moderation. However, it is also dangerous because it gives a cover for militants to operate. So while people are focusing on the news of the riots, the militants are planning their next strike.
So, how should we pray?
We should pray that God will make the church strong, that those who are believers in Christ multiply, that they will shine for Christ in these problems, and that many Muslims will see that Christ gives true freedom.
Pray for Egypt, that God will give them a new leadership structure that will allow freedom of religion, that there will be no loss of life and that other Muslim countries will change their structure due to what is going on in Egypt. Reaching Muslims for Christ,
Fouad Masri Crescent Project
He grew up in Beruit, hating Christians and Jews. Interesting, his father was a Christian in Lebanon but Fouad had enough of war and killing and turned his heart away from God.
He is now a Christian and the testimonies he has coming out of the middle east are amazing.

AHMEN!
