Same question I had. Why on earth is African American the only kind of American worth photographing?
If he’s going to be politically correct, it would make more sense to choose American Indian.
But isn’t there such a thing as an average American?
We’re a nation of immigrants? So are many countries, including most of Europe. Just a different time scale.
