Perhaps it would be easier to accept as socially normal if we all imagined Sanchez was a 28 year old female high school teacher and the 17 year old their male student./s
If states are going to have these low threshold age-of-consent laws, I believe the states should at least all have “position of authority” laws that apply to high school employees and high school students.
