I’m not buying for one minute that the government sees a risk with so few speaking Arabic. If they wanted people speaking it, offer it as a language in middle schools and high schools as an option. Why force it upon kids... some very young. Plus, the entire “culture” part of the language study needs to be really investigated. Are they promoting Islam? Do they take them to mosques as a field trip? Do they recite prayers? This whole program needs to be scrapped IMHO.

Spot on. I teach history and I know they are just dying to force us to teach the ‘islamic version’. Uggh.
I’m happy to comment on their culture, how girls can’t go to school, that they are married off before the age of ten, etc. That they strap bombs to each other.
As for learning Arabic, that can be done at a university level. Or the military can train their own linguists, etc.
Where are those scumbag “Church and Staters” on this one. If ANYTHING fits their “Establishment Clause”.. this would be it. My kids would be out of that school so fast...
