Maybe I'm out of it but I never even heard of this group before. To me they were ALL about futuristic techno-hype on the stage and very little about singing. Did Dean Martin really need to have flashing robo-people performing hi-tech stunts all around him? Okay, he did have to put up with Jerry Lewis antics in his early years but the only bit of techno that Dean Martin needed was a microphone. Same thing with a lot of other singers.
So the Black-Eyed Peas to me was all techno-hype and very little to do with talent. I can't even remember today the tunes they were singing last night.
