I bought some 2.75 inch 00 buckshot at about 1100 fps velocity....and some 3 inch #2 shot at about 1550 fps rating.

The buckshot being heavier will not fly as fast using the same dram equivalent of powder. A more useful comparison would be a 2.75 inch 00 buckshot shell compared to a 3.00 inch buckshot shell.
