Looks like a very weak peak cycle. We might see a few storms, but the Earth is currently starting its 6th consecutive year with weak solar activity. Anything that has happened on Earth in the past 5 years, cannot possibly be blamed on strong solar activity. The next peak looks to be weak and possibly very weak. We wont see a very mean sun, just your average solar activity is now the best prediction for this peaks (cycle 24) maximum. There are also effects on the Earth related to magnetic fields that occur during weak solar activity phases. Solar storms have nothing to do with those effects.
