Sorry, but when you handle snow you don’t deal with insurance, unions, labor and liability, all under budget caps.
Your side walk will reasonably shine by game time. Count on it.
Come on you guys, give us a break. Boss Hawg is running the show, he won’t tolerate any f-ups.
The rest of us are dealing with rolling blackouts. OK, Oncor/TXU calls them “controlled outages.” What a weasel word. They forgot and cut power to three of the big critical care hospitals downtown. OOOOPSY, sorry so sorry.
We get a little wintry mix most years but we don’t get snow that much. We get sleet that freezes and this year was bad. It turned so cold so fast there was nothing to do about it but deal. I was amazed by how bad it got and still is. I give not a crap about the Boss Hawg Bowl, Jerry will get what he wants. But yeah, it is hurting the folks who spent the bux to come down here and the local bidnezz folks who hoped to make some income from all the visitors.
I still have a big sheet of ice on the street in front of my house, even the emergency vehicles are having to crawl when they go by. It was bad and now they say it will snow again tonight. What if the Big Game had been in NY/NJ a month or so ago when AGW dumped a couple of feet of snow on them? Hell, it was warmer in NYC than Dallas the last few days.
That just ain’t right, but it is what it is. Jerry’s big show will go off, it is supposed to be 50-60F on Sunday and we all hope that will melt all this ice. F the game, we only care about getting around town like normal folks. I don’t see Jones out there shoveling my sidewalk or driving a sand truck on the bridges, so F him too. Dang Arkie.
