Cold sores? No problem. Just dab a little starter fluid on them and zap, they’re gone. I promise. Catch them early when they first begin.

Lemon Essential Oil works well, too. And smells better.

Many years ago I read a natural healing book which suggested gathering a bit of your ear wax and putting it on your cold sore. Being a poor student I tired it, worked like a charm.

I use Prunella extract which I make myself. Lemon balm is said to work too, so I made extract of lemon balm. Waiting for the next cold sore to try it.
Prunella clears them up in one to two days, the kind that on me often last 2 to 3 weeks before it’s all over, if they get big.

I have pretty good luck with lysine. Both applied and pills. If you take/apply as soon as you feel the first tingle, it keeps them from “erupting.

windex, ear wax and lighter fluid! never heard of them!
Thanks for the ping!

There’s a local dentist that claims he can rid them permanently with laser treatment, and quite inexpensively, too.
To: Doomonyou
Probably because there’s vinegar in some windex. Vinegar is very specifica against a lot of fungus infections, so maybe it works for some viruses too?

Interesting. I supposed you’d have to go when a sore was flaring up? How else would he know where they are? I get them in about 2 places around my mouth, always the same places, but not very often.
