Nebraska’s gun laws still have a lot of tweaking necessary, plus the Omaha police like to interpret the laws differently than the State AG. Taxes in Nebraska are terribly cost prohibitive. All this state wants is your money. They will attempt to tax every last cent out of you.
It’s not my state, I just live here. Concur about the gun laws, like I said we’re working on it. Agree also about OPD. However, several towns in the state have violated the US Constitution as well as the NE state constitution by banning guns in their town so OPD isn’t alone in their free interpretations.
We call it the Tax Me State. Unless, of course, you are a mega corporation, then the state gives you all kinds of tax breaks to open here.
All that said, the crime rate is low and there are jobs. Which is more than can be said about NJ, which is where the thread originator is from.
