Maryland sucks! If I had my druthers, would move back to Pennsylvania, but the wife doesn’t want to.
Most likely, we will end up in VA (Shennedoah valley) or NC,
also looking at MT and ME. Politics of ME are iffy and NC has wierd gun laws (no RTC).

Yup... And grizzly bears... and wolves... can't hardly swing a dead cat without hitting a griz or a wolf... And snow eight feet deep. and bitter cold nine months out of the year...
