I would live in Florida or Hawaii. When I was growing up, I wouldn’t have considered living anywhere but southern California. I loved it. But it has been totally ruined.
I moved to Houston from Kansas many years ago. Experienced it growing from 600K to 4 Million. After retirement, moved to New Braunfels in the hill country about 30 miles from San Antonio and far enough away (50 miles) to avoid the liberal slime of Austin.
Liberals here, if any, don’t say a thing. Good schools, restaurants, two rivers, Canyon Lake nearby and lots of other entertainment. I’ve found Paradise!
