Texas welcomes patriots with open arms. It's not perfect here, but we are just full of attitude. There is no state income tax. We can't keep the federal government totally at bay, but we always let them know they've been in a scrap. We have M D Anderson hospital in Houston (primarily known for cancer treatments but a first class hospital in lots of other areas), UT Hospital in Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Galveston.
Just please don't bring any of your liberal friends with you. Austin is just full of them already.
