I've always wondered what the hell happened to the palletloads of plywood that got snapped up LAST hurricane threat went....the stuff must just fall off the face of the earth.

If you live in the southeast during 'cane season: Plywood. Yep...home is near the Gulf of Mexico and I did have my front windows boarded up with plywood when a big one was on the way once.
Then, it turned north at the last minute and we barely got anytyhing from it. :)
