On a serious note, off topic, if you have any hearing at all, get your chart from your last hearing test and get a DSP filter that you can set to match your hearing cut-off or notch frequencies.

I'm H3 as far as the federal gooberment is concerned, and I really don't hear (or listen) well. But with a good DSP filter (I use a Timewave(tm)), I can pick out morse without a problem.

The mechanical filter in my 75S3 Collins is not shabby.

LOL I guess I should have been more specific. I did all my morse with other ships, bridge to bridge, using a flashing light. There were a couple of ports that wanted to communicate by light also.

My wife would say I don’t listen well:)
