Please read Taubes’ new book. He takes this theory head on and uses studies to prove that it just simply isn’t true. It sounds like it should be true; but, it doesn’t work. And, as someone who has been struggling with my weight since puberty, I can personally attest to the fact that it doesn’t work.

Getting fatter by eating less calories than your body burns is impossible. Energy can not be created or destroyed.

You've struggled with your weight because you either- 1- you don't know what your baseline calorie requirements are. 2- you can't control the amount you eat. 3- You're not active enough to burn to burn the excess calories you consume. 4- a combination of all the above.
It really is as simple as that.
