Must.
Come.
To.
St.Louis.
Yummm...
Thanks. After your first reply about the food, I think we’ll fore go that place. I’d rather eat Bushes Chicken anyway.
Amazing family owned business that uses only fresh ingredients. Always jam packed, and I've heard that a store manager can easily exceed 100K in annual salary.
In-N-Out is also in Nevada and Arizona. They are also opening a meat processing plant in Dallas. The process their own meat, so they have full control of the food chain. That’s why that haven’t expanded outside of the West, for now. With a new facility in Dallas, they can, in theory, have a 500 mile radius from Dallas and have stores served from that facility.
I’m in Houston. Can’t wait!
Make my own burgers with minced red onion, garlic salt and little chunks of hatch green chile mixed in the 80/20 hamburger meat. A splash of worshestersire sauce while they’re cooking. Mmmmmmmmmm.
psthh..... okay... sure... whatever you say. (rolls eyes)
I have lived in texas for years, if you have only known texans or visited for a short time you would not get that impression. But as a culture I find them on the surface very nice and kind, but only to a very shallow depth. Long term, deep relationships are not typical, I have found, and as a culture there is a high sense of value on show , accumulation and materialism.
They have this “Texas is the best! F you if you doubt buy into it” then you aren’t drinking the kool aid. No one can really articulate “why” texas is the best. And if you ask them to explain it, they are offended. So it is not a random statement I made.
Superficial? Not been my impression at all. I’m not from Texas, but I moved there because of the kindness of the people. Perhaps it’s just the folks you met.
My impression, has been to a person that they do have that brash exterior, but they are kind and would give the shirt off their back to anyone who tries to get to know them.
Whataburger is overpriced and the fries and onion rings are horrible; especially the onion rings.
Carl’s Jr. has the best low-priced menu for burgers.
Texas isn’t East Berlin. If you don’t like us, you are free to leave at your earliest convenience.
If you're unable to form long term deep personal relationships with people, it's not because there's something wrong with the 25 million people that live in Texas.
Bashing accumulation and materialism is something I'm used to seeing on DU. I accumulate as much wealth as I can, and I hold a high sense of value on that wealth, as any responsible person should.
I can consistently articulate why Texas is the best, it just depends on what you're talking about.
Carl’s western bacon cheeseburger can win overy anybody.
