Thank you for posting! Not a watcher of the show but this season seems to have some wonderful stories... earlier a young woman who was told to abort her child with special needs and she didn’t and now this young man. Gives me hope that there is still some great people in our country. Just a thought.

As a general rule, I find Hispanics have a better idea of stuff that *really matters* than their non-Hispanic brothers & sisters b/c of their cultural upbringing.

NOOOOOOOOO! You just had to do this, didn't you? I was doing so well not watching Idol and not getting caught up in it and then you went posted this and ruined everything.
I am now completely hooked and totally pulling for Chris.

LOL, you know, there are so many that hate thes show, but the human perspective behind it so amazing. There are great stories and lessons for us to learn, I find it to be a wonderful source of hope when I see things like this from our young people, and there are many of them this year.

I saw this, and was completely crushed. I cried for the guy, the girl, the families. Didn't know why I cried like I did.
I think it has to do with the feeling that, deep in my heart, I don't know if I am as good a person as Chris is. He humbled me. My problems are so minimal now.. God bless him, and yes, Mr. Tyler as well. He may be a lecherous rocker, but he has a huge heart and is not afraid to show it.
