Low Carb South Beach worked for me and the weight just fell off..I still use Omega-3 butter substitute, I lost the taste for boxed cereals like frosted mini wheats and old time favorite and that was wow..7 years ago. That was odd considering I the MW before then lost the taste for all related. I do have 5 min cooked oatmeal every so often. Was pretty much cutting out anything "white"..Now I belong to Planet fitness for strength training. The only pain was going shopping and restocking the kitchen with the foods needed for the diet to follow the menus per day to some degree was not to the letter of the law..and tossed out "the old". Seemed like I was at the grocer forever working out the menu.

The George Foreman got a workout!!

I didn't do much alcohol anyway, which when some find out no alcohol they refuse to give up that pleasure.. I will say even for just 2 weeks you can't give it up?? that's almost 8 labs just in that time frame.

you are talking about weight loss, and the thread is talking about a ketogenic diet for epilepsy control.

Not the same thing.

The Adkins type diets work, but the dirty little secret is that the weight loss is not that great in the long run. The really dirty little secret is that NO diets work well in the long run.

The good news is that if a person loses ten percent of his weight and exercizes, their risk factors go down.
