Didn’t we already know this? I’m not being snarky but I thought that a mother in the 90s discovered a diet that helped. I saw a movie about it, I don’t remember all the details.

Meryl Streep played the mom, great movie, based on a true story. She went against drs advice and gave her son a controversial diet that consisted of practically nothing but fat for a couple weeks and then reintroduction of other foods gradually, IIRC. For her trouble, they tried to take away her son. Til it worked.

It’s been around since my daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy 3 years ago.

It’s a very difficult diet to follow, and you can’t screw it up. The kids have to go into the hospital for the beginning of the diet.
