The weird thing is that I’ve known devout non-alcoholics who hid their non-drinking habit. Like my friend Pete who made me promise not to reveal at a party that he wanted only ginger ale in his drink with NO Scotch. He didn’t want it to get around that he shunned alcohol. It wasn’t any moral qualms, it was just that his body reacted AGAINST alcohol.
