It is my guess that their designer put a script that turns text upside down for browsers that are not supported...at the time probably IE6 and below...just turn the web site upside down to encourage people to upgrade their browsers. probably not appropriate for an invesment firm.
I think they wrote the rule saying “if not ie 7 or ie 8, then turn upside down”. They didn’t future proof it and now IE 9 is also causing the code to execute.
Script could have been put in on purpose or accidentally copied through from another project.
