I am making general reference to what people of today mistake for polital discourse: Foul and abusive language. The author did not qualify how to push back, except to scoff at taking the higher ground. I am assuming that taking the lower ground like our adversaries includes the abusive behaviour. That implication seem clear to me.
I take issue with abusive and insulting discourse.
So, you think reason and wit will convince these rabid humans to change? Really?
“That implication seem clear to me.”
Funny isn’t it that you seem to be the only one who saw it that way?

No im talking about playing by their rules of civil discourse which is to say don’t accuse Obama of hurting this country by his actions, it’s silly to try to repeal ObamaCare etc......
However, . . . and I don’t know how one always manages to do so without “stooping to their level”—which I’m not in support of . . .
nevertheless,
MANY TIMES, THE DULLED SENSES OF THE MASSES AND CERTAINLY OF THE OTHER SIDE—SIMPLY DO NOT HEAR ANYTHING OF SUBSTANCE
UNLESS
IT’S COMMUNICATED WITH FIERCE INTENSITY—SOMEWHAT ON A PAR WITH THEIR ABSURD LANGUAGE—BUT HOPEFULLY NOT EQUAL TO IT IN VULGARITY.
