Thanks.
Certainly when emotions are high and the topic is a naturally intense one.
being very clear and specific with language can be . . .
the difference between life and death.
However, some folks have varying degrees of aspergers, autism etc.
NOT BECAUSE OF PERVERSITY, DISINGENUOUSNESS, HYPOCRISY, ETC.
BUT BECAUSE
LITERALLY THEIR BRAINS ARE TRULY LITERALLY ‘WIRED’ DIFFERENTLY
as fMRI’s and PET scans show.
This particularly impacts their language and social skills.
NOW BEFORE SOMEONE INFERS AND ASSUMES
that I just indicated that GingisK has aspergers or autism—It did NOT.
GINGISK himself noted his wife knows him to be clumsy in social situations and entering conversations.
I personally don’t find that sufficient reason to dogpile him and shred him.
I value his values and his heart for holding those values. I value him as a fellow conservative of high integrity and good intent. I also see him as one of the more humble on FR.
Yes, he might do well to be more precise in language—particularly on heated threads and topics.
The same could be said of ALL OF US AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER ON FR.
I often feel that I speak a completely different language than everyone around me. That's why I try to take a moment and consider my words. It usually keeps me out of trouble.
When I find myself in a situation like the unfortunate Gingis, I don't try to blame everyone else. Instead I go back and check myself or ask others if I seemed out of line. It's called personal responsibility for ones behavior. It's a very conservative concept.
