“This gun might be a great plinker, but skip it for self defense in favor of something capable.”
A weapon is only as good as the person using it. You have to be able to be proficient and confident in the weapon you use. I have a Ruger P85 which will blow you to Hell and back but its large and heavy. I cannot physically handle it with proficiency however the lighter weight weapon with no recoil works great for me. And don’t kid yourself .22 mag weapons kill people every day of the week. Don’t buy into the myth that a small caliber weapon isn’t deadly. It is. At 10-15 ft I’m not going to need 30 rounds I just like the Hell out of it. LOL!!
I just knew some poster would jump at the chance to denigrate small caliber firearms. It is not how big the gun is but if you have it and can use it;that 4" .357 has the best stopping power record I know of for pistols but it is a little bulky for concealed carry wheras a nice slim .380 is much lighter and concealable.
I tried to get my wife a .40 cal Taurus so she could be proficient in at home self defense, it was simply too powerful for her to handle. Too much recoil to re-aim and hit a target consistently
Having fire power does nobody any good if you can't aim and shoot multiple times and hit your target. If anything if you miss you have a real good chance of having it used against you
I finally bought her a nice Mark III Ruger .22
Almost no recoil and she can hit center of the target very nicely. She can fire off six or seven round in a under 10 seconds and nobody is going to be standing up with 6 to 8 rounds center mass.

What about multiple opponents? While you are putting the necessary 5 or 6 rounds into bad guy #1, bad guy #2 has had time to kill you. I can put one round each into both perps in the blink of an eye with my Kimber .45.
