Srinagar, Jan 17, KONS: A Kulgam villager battled a leopard bare-handed for twenty minutes in a desperate but brave fight for life, and was left with deep wounds in his face and chest in the ordeal.
The leopard from nearby forests had pounced on 47-year-old Israeel Gorsi in the Batpora area, some 20 km from Kulgam town, when he was working in his compound, with the clear intention to kill, reports said.
But Gorsi fought off the attack unaided for nearly half-an-hour, and his screams brought villagers to the scene, on seeing whom the beast tried to drag its bleeding victim into the forests.
But timely action from his neighbours scared the leopard, which left the badly mauled Gorsi on the ground and fled into its habitat.
The victim was rushed to the local hospital where doctors referred him to Srinagar because of his grave injuries.
Locals said that they had to face great hardships in taking Gorsi for treatment, as roads were blocked by snow, and they had to repeatedly use pallets to carry the severely injured victim.
Technically, that depends on the details of his injuries.
Nobody called 911? /s
How do they know that the leopard had a clear intention to kill the visitor? It seems to me that the leopard ought to call the KCLU to clear his good name. BTW, “Rage Boy” is a Kashmiri. Must be a national trait.
Nominee for badass of the week.
I second the motion. All in favor say "Aye"?
Its Tarzan!
Doesn’t he understand that violence only begets more violence?
Too bad he was not packing a .45 ACP.
And here I thought all Mac OS users were all wimps.
