As a native Nebraskan I found this background information on the newly-crowned Miss American and thought it might be of interest to others.

Prepare for the vitriolic chorus of statists and fags to call for her dethroning in favor of a government-indoctrinated, wart-covered transvestite.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

I personally know the Scanlan family. They are a very strong Christian family that walks the walk.
I remember her singing in Church with her sisters when they were little. Lots of talent. It is always a blessing when the Scanlan girls preform.
I am so proud of Teresa! She will be an excellent representative of Miss. America!! Keep her in your Prayers for the up coming year.

My daughter, also home-schooled, is a graduate of Patrick Henry. It is a very challenging liberal arts school, sometimes referred to as the “Christian Harvard,” which has been vilified by the Left (Google it). They have placed students into the top law schools in the country. Only 300 students enrolled.

She plans on majoring in Government: American Politics and Policy and then attending Law School to become a Trial Attorney in Criminal Prosecution. Hoping to become a judge and eventually become involved in the political arena, her highest career goals are to become President or a Supreme Court Justice. I can hardly believe she won. Was I dreaming? Wow, I hooted and hollered in honor of all my Nebraska ancestors and living relatives. In fact, I had just been talking with my cousin who lives in Lincoln yesterday.
It seems impossible such a together, patriotic young lady could win but she did!! Congratulations, Miss America!!

I am amazed that a Christian homeschooled young lady won! I’m glad, though.

I didn't watch the Miss America pageant (didn't even know it was on), but I have to say: How on earth did this lovely young - apparently conservative - home-schooled Christian woman win the Miss America pageant in Obama's Amerika? Seriously... who were the judges?
Glad she won, though! Congratulations, Nebraska!
