Doesn’t seem to be working here. I’m doing everything right, including drinking plenty of coffee, and I’m still heading straight toward diabetes. Hmph.

Somebody point me to a brand of coffee that doesn't taste like household dirt mixed with battery acid, and I might just drink it.

Just for you: Mystic Monk Coffee

Sugar, chocolate, eggs.. The usual. They would go good with coffee, but a gallon of milk suits me better.

No, I don’t put anything *extra* in my brownies. I was young and stupid once, then i grew up.

Good grief. What do you want to debate next, the number of angels that can dance on the head of a pin? Have you ever heard the term "straining at a gnat?" I see you take issue with my response, which is absolutely true, but say nothing of the absurdity of the post I was replying to.

There will be anomalies and I'm sure blood pH can vary, especially in an unhealthy body. Most people have a bowel movement every day, while others go through life so uptight they can't unclench long enough to be like most people. Real cases, real people.

LOL... yeah I know a lil about body pH. The insanity of pH is fine.. if it scares people into not eating meat, I am all for it. Keeps the price of steak low. If they only knew how extremely genetically modified their vegetables now they would be strict carnivores, after all, there are limits to genetically modifying animals. I just had to chuckle a little when I read the o no content of the acid/alk diet. Thanks for backing me up!

Sounds scary. Why should I be scared?

Genetic manipulation may turn out to be one of the things we wish we could un-invent. Look into it, it has some potential to do things like sterilize a particular population via genetic differences in races and perhaps geographically distinct people. I hardly touch a vegetable, they have modified them to the point where one must question the published nutrition data. For example, genetically modifying something to grow in a colder or more arid climate changes the soil that nourishes it. The change of soil means the nutrients taken up by the plant are different and may change it’s nutritional value. Also, soil used continuously may loose some of it’s nutritional value over time, so without real crop rotation, it’s questionable anyway, sans the modifications. (darn! guess that bumps my name up on the hateful rhetoric list, and the domestic terrorist list... again)

Vegetables can do this? Perhaps you could spell out the mechanism?

For example, genetically modifying something to grow in a colder or more arid climate changes the soil that nourishes it.

I'm not soil, why do I care?

The change of soil means the nutrients taken up by the plant are different and may change it’s nutritional value.

Genetic modification will deplete the soil?

Also, soil used continuously may loose some of it’s nutritional value over time,

The human race has known that for thousands of years. I thought you were talking about genetics?

I know our bodies are very strong and can cobat it. However, to imply that a highly acidic environment is good for you long term is nonsense.

Most of our diets (meaning people in the United States) are acidic. It’s one of the main reasons why so many people are having medical issues.

You have got to be kidding? By the way, just because it’s natural from the Earth does not mean it’s good for you.For instance, Cyanide will kill you.

Yes we are suppose to enjoy things, but everything in moderation.... Including Twinkies ;)

You are correct about the range it sits in... However, in can lean one way or the other based on your diet. It’s amazing how much better and alert I feel when I’m less acidic.

Sounds like a good idea, and I may give expresso a second chance. I do like cappuccino’s too.

I still drink coffee. I just try to keep it to a minimum and counter every cup with 16oz of water.
