Hello, my name is TSgt and I’m a coffee-a-holic.
I like coffee, but this is B.S. It’s acidic which is NOT good for your body. Our bodies function better in an alkaline environment vs. acidic.
Somebody point me to a brand of coffee that doesn't taste like household dirt mixed with battery acid, and I might just drink it.

Ya oughta contact UCLA and get them to quit wasting their time and money then studying this.
The reduction of sugar will have a larger effect on blood sugar than coffee!
I guess my family’s totally safe.
You are right chromium did the trick for me and Bragg’s apple cider vinegar with the mother in it.
Amazing!
Melissa (and I am a pharmacist and I try to stay away as many meds as i can)

Drink espresso--lower in acid and lower in caffeine. Add hot water if it's too strong--americano style. Or add a spot of milk if you like--macchiato. Or add lots of foamy milk if you like--latte and cappuccino.
Chromium for diabetes, it works

Stay away from Starbucks.

You need a better understanding of pH balances in your body. pH is important at the cellular level and rigouously controlled by the body. pH of saliva and urine are poor indicators of body pH. An alkaline urine pH will often lead to kidney stones.
Yes, some foods are acidic, some alkaline. Any one kind of food to the exclusion of others is bad for the body. The bodies food intake needs to be balanced.
Besides the things pointed out in this article, you need to know that coffee is the greatest single source of antioxidants, food or beverage wise. This is also true of chocolate. If you have a desire for chocolate, dark is best (less of the bad sugar stuff).
So sit back, enjoy your morning and afternoon coffee it is good for you. And even an evening cup of coffee is ok, if you aren’t problemed with sleeplessness after drinking an evening cup.
If this is true, I am 100% guaranteed to never get diabetes in my life even if I pour a box of sugar down my throat each day.
Last time i checked physiology, the body is extraordinarily good at regulating pH within a narrow margin. I could be wrong of course, but consuming a food of either category does not turn the body in one direction or another. It stubbornly stays within that very very narrow range. If you have ever experienced hypoxia, you know this is true... the body works quickly and efficiently to restore its balance. Are you positive about this? Too many “junk science” alarms go off when I read about it. Take anyone’s pH.. it is miraculously narrow, unless of course you take urine pH which can vary because the renal system is a great restorer of overall pH.
Buy green, roast your own.
If still concerned scrub a little Epsom Salts (actually Magnesium-Sulphate ) head to toe near the final rinse of each shower to help restore warehouse of PH restoration function to largest organ (Skin).
It also feels great (try it), better than any skin conditioner no matter how expensive (that's why health professionals hardly ever let this secret out , it's cheaper than dirt, they would all go out of biz.)
It’s commonly known as Creme Brulee creamer, found in your dairy section.
