I remember in math class the famous curve, which is the vertex, the point at which the axis intersects the curve. The latus rectum is the chord through the focus perpendicular to the axis. I recall the guffaws on that one.

We had just seen “Total Recall”. A buddy asked me (the resident expertoneverything and a biologist to boot) “Can a girl really have three breasts?”

Without missing a beat I said “I knew a girl once with three sphincters.”

Everyone laughed to beat the band, but my buddy was “in” on the joke. He said after the laughter “Everybody has three?”

“Three in the digestive system. Esophageal, Pyloric, and Anal, everyone’s favorite.”
