Doesn’t everybody who lives in New England own a shovel? Or do they toss them after each storm.
They go into the same bottomless pit that contains all the bazillion sheets of plywood bought in the south before every hurricane.

When I lived in Providence I left my snow shovel leaning against the back door while I went into the house to check the time. When I came back outside there were footprints in my driveway and my ONLY snow shovel was gone.I had to finish shovelling with an old garden shovel. And I lived in a good neighborhood.
