Oregon was gifted a TD from the pick play.

I agree with Chizik, the Ducks were outclassed. They played horrible the whole game, and the score at the end didn’t reflect the distance between them and Auburn.

Sure wish we could get a real championship game between TCU and Auburn.

What would Gene Chizik know about class? I don’t blame him for leaving Iowa State to go to a better job at Auburn, but he didn’t have the class or guts to tell his football team, nor his athletic director he was quitting; he just left town without being a man and facing his team that he was quitting on.

And this is coming from someone who can’t stand Iowa State (yes, I am a Hawkeye fan).

Oh, please. And Auburn was "gifted" by getting into FG range on a play that even the RB thought he was down.

Is that what he said? Wouldn't suprise me, although I wouldn't use "Auburn" and "class" in the same sentence. The hits after the whistle were numerous on the part of the Tigers. I guess kneeing an opposing helmet-less player in the head while he's kneeling on the ground and drawing blood shows how "classy" they are. That Tiger should have been immediately ejected.

If Oregon played "horrible" the "whole game" and were tied with 2 seconds to go, that must mean 1 of 2 things. Either Auburn played barely better than horrible, or Oregon would have won the game easily if they hadn't played "horrible". Or perhaps both.

That's an opinion. What is fact, is that Auburn won by a FG on the final play of the game, set up by a fluke long run on which even the ball carrier thought he was down 40 yards back up field. The score is what matters. Had Oregon won by a FG on the final play of the game instead, it still wouldn't matter what you thought about "the distance between them and Auburn".
