His fb 'hate' page has been up since May, 2010, and now, since I've posted in on FR, he seems to have taken it down.

Still avaiable via google cache usin IE. Screen grabs anyone?

If we dilute ‘national leader’, we could also add George Clooney, George Soros and Oprah to that list.

I agree that the Secret Service's mandate only includes elected "national leaders". However, it's my contention that a sitting president has the ability to make some extraordinary things happen, just through his influence. These need not be official acts.

The point is, Obama has the power to help the Palins in this very dangerous moment, either through direct action, or through public statements. I know he's said nothing whatsoever to calm the psychotic critics on his side, and it's highly unlikely that he's reached out to the Palins through unofficial channels.

You say "his FB hate page". Whose page is (was) it?

I don’t think you can get Secret Service protection unless you are a Presidential candidate. She probably has private security. If not she should get some.

I think we can reasonably assume that the Palins have some of the best security available.

You're right about Secret Service protection only being afforded to elected national leaders. The point of my post is that as president, Zero has the power to keep the Palins safe - even if it's an untraceable black op.

The implication, of course, is that he won't do anything to protect them, despite his ability to do so.

The only Secret Service agents he’d offer to the Palins would be “made.” One of the Palins could end up missing or dead. I wouldn’t trust anything coming from 0bama.

May God help us all. You're right. What has happened to our America? A communist coup, that's what. Two more years. . .

“Where was the FBI?”

I asked the same question when I first posted his fb links.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2654082/posts?page=53#53

How could this have been public information from May, 2010 until today, (after I posted the links on FR)?

Unbelievable that this moron's "Kill Palin" site could have stayed up on FB since May of last year without the dope getting a visit from the FBI.

It appears that stuff like this needs daylight to get the attention of the authorities. This leftoid dope head didn't do a thing about this until Gabrielle Giffords was shot, and the press started pointing their crooked fingers at Sarah Palin.

Makes you wonder how much stuff is zipping down the memory hole right now. I'll bet it's a ton.

Seems like hypocrisy to me when we'd be foaming at the mouth if he extended the same protection to a left wing radical who'd suddenly come under threat. Imagine the cost, for one.

Name one left wing radical who is the de facto leader of an important and powerful political movement, or whose stature is on a par with international leaders?

Can't do it, can you? It's because there isn't such a person on the left (or the right, for that matter) like Sarah Palin.

Like it or not, Sarah Palin occupies a position of massive influence and importance in our nation's politics. It's simply a fact. As such, she is in just as much danger as any sitting president, and should have protections equal to theirs.

I said in my previous post that a president has the power to make some extraordinary things happen, and that these things need not be 'official acts'. Sarah Palin should be protected from the threats to her life that are now in great evidence.

That protection need not be done by an official branch of the US government. A sensible and responsible president would simply use the influence and power of his office to make it so. George Bush would have done this within the first 24 hours of this tragedy.

Yes I would think so. She could afford Gavin Debecker. Even off duty police officers would be OK. I’m just talking for the average Congress critter that wants to hold a townhall. You can get an off duty police officer for about $25 per hour so 4 officers for a 2 hour townhall is $200. Pretty darn reasonable. It keeps the crazies out.

Gore and Hillary are both excellent examples, ruined only by the fact that they already get SS protection. Soros would be my other pick.

On a side note, I think you're vastly overstating her status.
