"root principle is that men derive their rights from their Creator, not from a government. Equality is not the root principle, Divine authority over the rights of Man is the root principle."
I believe we are saying the same thing here.
When I speak of Liberty I am referring to the Christian principle based on Grace. . . the freedom God gives individuals to do whatever they enjoy in matters that He has not addressed in the Bible, with no fear of rejection or punishment by the church or other Christians.
Otherwise our freedom to worship as we please, freedom of speech, ect. . . freedoms given to us by our Creator without fear due to Christ's gift of Grace. We are not a government based on a bloody Old Testament Law, but one based on Grace.

I would agree to a large portion that the United States, when it was founded, was founded upon the ideals underpinning the doctrine of Christian Liberty via Grace, but where I believe they failed is by attributing Liberty as an automatic right granted by God. To be sure, it is a blessing and as a country we have benefited greatly from it, but to say that Liberty is a right is, strictly speaking, incorrect.
