You're right. What was I thinking, looking at what is commonly known as "the big picture"? I mean, what is there to be gained in giving thought to how our political enemies may be planning to use this crime to infringe on our rights? The real important thing to do is to Monday morning quarterback what has already happened into the ground. /s
While I pray for those who were killed or wounded yesterday, and for their families, I'm not related to any of them. I'm also not one of the investigators, so why Loughner did it is not my immediate concern. I do, however, have certain rights which will no doubt be under renewed attack starting tomorrow. Oh yeah, they're your rights, too, just to give you a heads up.
