that's why there are vitamin stores all over America and is a $70 billion a year industry...I take it every day with olive oil as it is oil soluble.
the same can be said for vitamin-c and vitamin-e... in order to get a therapeutic dose of vitamin c, you would have to eat dozens of oranges a day...

It is a 70 billion dollar industry because people want to believe that they need to take extra amounts of vitamins, because the food we eat is processed or that large amounts of one vitamin can prevent you from getting something. For every study that show a vitamin or mineral preventing something I can find at least two other long term controlled studies that show the claim untrue. Garlic, Vitamin C, Selenium, lycopene, vitamin E, non prescription calcium, Ginko and several others have all been found to be worthless when take in excess. Same goes for detox and other fad snake oil remedies.
